Regardless of accomplishments or intelligence, Joe Morrisey is deceitful low-life. He defended murderers and dragged victims' families through hell.
Joe Morrissey got some of the most notorious and violent drug thugs off the streets. He has a brilliant prosecuting record.
Morrissey is passionate about the things he cares about and believes in and sometimes those passions land him trouble. Someone who is that driven is who I want in my corner.
If you want someone who's not afraid to stand up and confront obstacles, Joe is the man for you. He has my complete and total support for this seat.
This is a very critical election year for the frustrated citizens of the 74th House District. We can not be apathetic and allow the current so called “unopposed candidate to win this election by default. The Democratic Party is pushing the same old tired, trite and pathetic lines and taking our votes for granted. It’s time we let the Democratic Party know: that our votes are not free; we will not continue to be taken for granted, and that we want ideas and no more ideologies!
As we all know, Mr. Joseph Morrissey won the Democratic Primary due to: a 4 way split of the opposing votes; lack of voter turnout; taking for granted of voters and the lack of “get out the vote” push by the losing Candidates. I woke up on the morning of June 13th, and on my way to work I noticed that his signs had been updated with “thanks” placed on them. I was a little baffled when I notice that certain signs did not have the “thanks” added to them. Signs only located in Henrico County had them. With the bulk of his support coming from Henrico County and his gratitude displayed to the residents, leaving the remaining residents of Charles City, Richmond City, Prince George and Hopewell to consider “Joe’s Back” a threat.
We residents of the 74th District deserve more than a disgraced, disbarred, former Commonwealth Attorney, and let us not forget his unpaid taxes and lawsuit settlement. That is why I have filed as a write in candidate to oppose Mr. Morrissey in this election. I have reached out to those leaders of the Virginia’s Legislative Black Caucus and Virginia’s NAACP for their support and I have not received any responses to date.
I thought that with me as an African American would help save that crucial seat of the Legislative Black Caucus. I guess the VLBC are more concerned about crossing party lines than the concerns of their constituents. I just don’t know what to say or think of the lack of response from the NAACP. I will continue this modern day David vs. Goliath type election with or without their support. It’s just sad, that our leaders are calling for unification and displaying dissention. This is one more reason for the residents of the 74th District to make sure their votes get counted on November 6, 2007.
